Goodbye gift!

This is the goodbye picture I drew for the staff at school. My 'inner critic' has been going crazy and I'm doubting whether they'll like it or see it in the spirit in which it is intended (which is a spirit of much affection) but my husband insists that it's great and they'll love it and (since he is rarely wrong apparently!) I will go with it and take it in tomorrow.

All of these glorious people keep the school going and are a great team to work with. I am very sad to say goodbye to them all!

A lovely gift for your staff and for yourself. I am sure in years to come it will bring back memories for everyone.

And welcome to Australia ( when you get here)and your new adventure. If you happen to be moving to Sydney, there are a few EDM members here, as there is everywhere around the world.

Great job with the different hair styles and colors :) I think the most important thing of this drawing is to capture the essence of each individual, and you've nailed that. And they're all so HAPPY ^^

Happy traveling and don't forget to keep a visual journey of this important event. I love your gift to the school and predict that they will cherish it!

This is just wonderful---I looked at each student and marveled how you caught them with their hairdo and initials and whatver else was telling---does the one in the far left in the front need a shave? I was wondering their ages. All the colors and the love behind it adds up to a trememdously successful drawing! I also envy the move to Australia if you're on the coast, mostly.

It's a fantastic sketch - I'm sure your colleagues will treasure it and love the personal touches.

What a change from Eastleigh to OZ!
Best wishes with the journey, the move and settling in to your new and very different life.

It'll be great to hear how it all goes. Have fun!

Beautiful illustration, they will love it! And I bet there will be a few tears shed.

Good luck for your move, I hope all goes well for you and look forward to hearing an update when you've settled in :)

Hope the staff enjoyed it. I did a similar thing for the staff of the Sperry Chalet in Glacier National Park that we stayed at. I loved the experience so much I made copies of my sketches I made there for each staff person (about a dozen) and mailed them. My inner critic said they'll laugh at me, the crazy tourist who sketches. But they loved it and I received a thank you for my thank you. Sometimes you just need to 'put yourself out there'.
